The Word Of The Lord Endures Forever!

All flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of the grass. The grass withers, and its flower falls away, but the word of the Lord endures forever!” - I Peter 1:25

I love this passage and the hope that it brings. All the things that humans seem to hold so dear all fall away. When you die, you can have thousands, millions even billions of dollars but, it won’t matter when you die. You can be famous and recognized by everyone, everywhere you go but, it won’t matter when you die. You can invent all sorts of gadgets that make human life easier but, it won’t matter when you die. You can have all sorts of possessions but, it won't matter when you die. You can spend countless hundreds of thousands of dollars on plastic surgery to help your looks but, you’re still going to grow old and you're still going to die someday. You can climb to the top of the corporate ladder and achieve all sorts of “success” in whatever industry you choose but, your still going to grow old and die someday. The truth is that you cannot stop time regardless of who you are nor what you do.

Even if Communists, anarchists, Liberals, Democrats, atheists, God haters, terrorists and Socialists could destroy all of the Bibles and written word of God, the word of the Lord would still endure forever. The Bible tells us not to fear those who can only kill the mortal body but rather to fear He who can destroy the spiritual body. You see no matter what humans do, the word of the Lord will not go away. The Bible tells us that God spoke the universe into existence. His word is powerful. His word is truth. He doesn’t even have to do anything but, speak for things to happen, that’s REAL power!

I’ve often heard or read unbelievers comment that God will use the Internet or television cameras to fulfill His word that “everyone” will see Him coming in the clouds simultaneously. It strikes me as funny first of all because neither one was even on the radar when Jesus spoke those words. It strikes me as funny because that concept would elevate man and his ideations of the Internet and television if God were to use it. That would of course assume that “EVERYONE” was either on-line or watching television, not likely. There are people who own neither a television nor a computer. As if the God who spoke the universe into existence would need the Internet or television to accomplish what He said thousands of years ago is laughable. Never-mind that this would mean that God had some foreknowledge of what man would come up with thousands of years before it was even thought of. Of course unbelievers dismiss those facts in favor of their arrogant, self-righteous, God hating and quite ridiculous opinions.

I find it interesting too that I guess I’m supposed to take the unbeliever’s word for what happened as opposed to what God said in scripture. I have the Bible, God’s word and the Holy Spirit, the unbeliever has no proof, no facts, no nothing to back up what they claim. Now I’m not saying that I would abandon God’s word for an unbeliever who offers “facts”, “proof” or “evidence”, I’m just saying that no unbeliever has ever offered “facts”, “proof” nor “evidence” even though they have claimed it. God has told us over and over in the Bible that He is a God of truth and that the devil (and his followers), are liars and the father of lies. So let’s see which is more believable a liar or a written document by the God of truth?

By day the LORD directs his love,
At night his song is with me,
A prayer to the God of my life!

No matter what we do…no matter what lies ahead…the Lord will always be with us. He may not answer right away but in his good time they will be revealed.

Amen! The Lord always answers an honest prayer, it’s just that humans don’t always like His answers.

It is comforting that God is always with us but do you think that God was with the Jews in the ovens? I wonder what he revealed to them at the last moment? There had to be a millisecond before death where all were skeptics.

I am certain that God was with the Jews in the ovens just as I am certain that God was with Jesus at the crucifixion. God was with Joseph when he was tossed into the well. God was with Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego as well. God was in the Lion’s den. I am certain that God was with Job in all of his trials but that does not mean that trials are eliminated, minimized, eradicated, excused nor prevented. As the Bible says quite clearly, God’s ways are NOT our ways. What we think of as “cruel”, “unusual” or “bad” in our human-ness may be God’s plan and purpose. Suffering is necessary to bring us closer to God and fulfills His purposes and plans. There is not a lot of suffering in America and we are farther away from God than we have ever been. A visit to some of the “poorer” countries reveals that some of the poorest people are happier and have more faith than wealthier people who are trusting in their wealth. I believe that this is one of the reasons that the Bible says that it is easier for a Camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a wealthy man to enter into heaven.

We don’t know the time or day of our deaths.
We don’t know how or where we are going to die.
We all can’t die by natural causes.
        Yes…God was with them.
No matter how I die,he’ll will be with me.

will…I know this is off topic but I was invited by my girlfriend in joining her for church service. I looked around(not to stare) at the congregation and wonder if any of them are liberals.
If they are I wonder if what they stand for is wrong…sometimes going against religious beliefs in God.
I can’t believe they fear loosing jobs or other sanctions levied against them.
I decided for a short moment putting myself in their “liberal” shoes.
I don’t know will…I met a few cold individuals but the fear factor of God has to be building and the liberals don’t or refuse to see it coming.
Monday morning comes around fast doesn’t it will. They throw God’s words to the wind and climb back in the saddle…again.

I don’t think it’s off topic at all. The Liberals believe that they are correct, regardless of what the word of the Lord actually says. The Liberals believe that the Lord will return and vindicate them. Are there Liberals in church? YES! Are there people in church who would rather be lied to than to hear the word of God? YES! Are there people who arrogantly believe that they know better than God? YES! The word of the Lord tells us this numerous times. There are people who will attempt to argue with God at the Judgement claiming that they did know Him AND serve Him AND keep His word, He will tell them “Depart from me, I never knew you.”

Seems these liberals are the ones who mock the Bible telling folks it’s a joke.
You can thank the liberals for the reason why folks don’t believe in the Bible…God’s words of wisdom.
" Are there people in church who would rather be lied to than to hear the word of God? YES!"
End up being lost souls and fade away from the(any)church.
" There are people who will attempt to argue with God at the Judgement …"
and expect to win by convincing God the lying liberals is(was) the way to go.
God will get busy separating the good and the liberal followers.

As it says in scripture, God will separate the wheat from the chaff.
