A Few Reason Why God Allows Things To Happen...

I wish I had a nickel for every time I’ve heard an unbeliever try to tell me how a “loving God” wouldn’t allow terrible things to happen. Apparently this line of “logic” is what they use to deny God’s existence or somehow claim that He (God), doesn’t care that they swear, have profane thoughts and do whatever evil their little brains can think of. Let me unpack a few scriptures that prove that they are justifying their sin, their complacency and their denials.

Adam & Eve

As most everyone knows, Adam & Eve were thrown out of the Garden of Eden for disobeying God’s Commandments. This Old Testament account shows us that disobeying God does have consequences. Sure we may get away with our disobedience for a time but, there is always retribution coming at some later time.

The Destruction of Sodom & Gamorrha

Sodom & Gamorrha were destroyed because the cities had become a den of iniquity. Here we see another Old Testament account showing us that disobeying God’s Commandments have consequences. The evil people had no idea that death and destruction were coming. God didn't warn them ahead of time, they had free will and were allowed to choose to disobey God and they were free to reap the consequences of their actions.

The Flood

The flood of Noah destroyed everything and everyone except Noah and his immediate family. This Old Testament account shows us again that disobedience carries with it, consequences. Once again we see how God did not warn them ahead of time but allowed them to choose sin as opposed to choosing good. Liberals and unvelievers will tell you that destruction will not come upon you but, just as there were people in the days of Noah who claimed that nothing "bad" would happen, they were wrong then.

Shadrach, Meschach & Abednego

Who could ever forget the three men who were thrown into the fiery furnace for obeying God rather than men? Here again we see an Old Testament account that shows us that disobedience carries with it, consequences. How many people today would be strong enough to stand up to the government and follow God rather than the decree of government?

Joseph

You’ll remember that Joseph was thrown into a well by his brothers who were jealous of him and his coat of many colors. His brothers intended for Joseph to be dead but God showed them what His power can do. Did Josheph’s brothers “love” him or did God?

Paul’s Thorn In the Flesh

Here we see a New Testament account where Paul, one of Jesus’ disciples is dealing with a thorn in the flesh or a physical problem. Scripture doesn’t tell us exactly what it is however we can ascertain that it was serious enough for Paul to mention it. It was also serious enough for Paul to pray about it. It was even serious enough for God to answer Paul about it. Did God answer Paul by telling him that He no longer “loved” him? If God didn’t “love” Paul, why would He (God), bother to answer him and tell him that His grace was sufficient? If God wasn't a loving God, why would He give Paul grace at all?

The Poverty of Jesus

Now the Liberals and unbelievers will tell you that God is “always” loving or that He somehow doesn’t exist. Unbelievers use the “loving” justification to claim that somehow God’s word isn’t valid and that they will go to heaven also. How is it then that Jesus, the Son of God, wasn’t wealthy? How is it then that Jesus was homeless? How is it that Jesus did not sin even once His whole life? Their argument(s) are not valid but are totally made up and to make ridiculous claims that they cannot and will not back up with scripture, facts nor logic. Liberals and unbelievers make it up as they go and will say whatever fits with the current situation. God tells us in His word that He NEVER changes and His word NEVER changes.

The Crucifixion of Jesus Christ

The Liberals will tell you that sin is “no big deal” but if that is true, why then did Christ have to go to the cross? Why then was Christ flogged forty times? Yes, God is “loving” however He is also a God of justice, truth and righteousness. The Bible tells us that God will not be mocked and that God will not and cannot lie to us. If that is true (and I believe EVERYTHING in the Bible is true), who must be lying then? As the saying goes, “Misery loves company”. The unbelievers will lie to anyone who will listen for the express purpose of taking as many with them as possible. Just as God threw Adam and Eve out of the Garden for disobedience, God will not allow sin nor sinful people into heaven. As a matter of fact, scripture tells us that “without the shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness of sin”.

“God will not allow sin nor sinful people into heaven” This reminds me of a story where the proper people in a church objected because a known prostitute was allowed into the church every Sunday to worship. If sinful people are not allowed into Heaven, that particular gated community must be empty or has only one occupant.
I just heard a preacher this morning who was talking about Noah. He blew past a comment that Noah coexisted with dinosaurs before this nonsense could register in mortals minds. Then I wondered what sinful group God drown in the flood, Neanderthals or Cro-Magnon?
I have alway found it interesting to hear what Christians think unevolved Adan & Eve (Human Zero) were really like. I lean toward Tom Cruz & Pamela Anderson unshaven with bad hairdos and unstylish wardrobes, by our standards.
The last time I talked to God about what he allows, he told me to take my .44mag out and kill a deer. He then asked me if I allowed the deer to die. Being familiar with physics and the idea of action and reaction and being guilty of only setting the actions into motion, I said no. He said, “then why are you picking on me”?

Jesus died so that people could get into heaven IF they accept Him AND as scripture says, turn from their evil ways. The result is that heaven WON’T be “empty” however it will not be crowded either. As it says in scripture, “narrow is the way and few who find it”.

You say "…nor can you “save” yourself." How does one become saved? By confessing their sins and ask for salvation through their belief and faith in Christ. In a sense, they ARE saving themselves. Nobody else can confess their sins and ask for salvation for them. They have to do it themselves.

If you believe that you can “save” yourself, try to do it without Christ, His sacrifice, His power, His authority, His righteousness and His salvation and see what that gets you…

I didn’t say a person could save him/herself without Christ.

Really? So your comment “In a sense, they ARE saving themselves.” was all a lie or something…

Then tell me how they can be saved without confessing their sins and asking for salvation through their belief and faith in Christ. Can they just keep it to themselves and never confess verbally?

What does scripture say? What does God command for His followers? When people go to a concert or sporting event do they “keep it to themselves”? Do they say nothing “verbally”? Our words cannot “save” us only Christ can.

Interesting that you chose NOT to respond nor look up what the Bible actually says yet you continue to ask inane questions…

" Our words cannot “save” us only Christ can."
            :
But we can’t can’t be saved if we don’t say the words. It’s not only Christ. Christ can’t save us unless we take the first step. So it’s not true that “only” Christ can save us. We have to be participants in the process. It takes two. The confessor and Christ.

I’m not willing to waste my time nor energy arguing with you. If you wish to waste your time by believing that you somehow can save yourself, that is your choice. I will continue to be put my faith and trust in Jesus Christ, in His blood, in His sacrifice, in His holiness, in His righteousness and in His power.

I have responded to you and you don’t know what research I’ve done and what scripture I’ve read. But you have refused to respond to my comment and question above. So I’ll try again:
“Then tell me how they can be saved without confessing their sins and asking for salvation through their belief and faith in Christ. Can they just keep it to themselves and never confess verbally?”
            :
I know I couldn’t have been saved without Christ, but I had to speak out and confess that I’m a sinner and ask Christ for my salvation. Christ is not the only participant in this equation. If I didn’t initiate the process, I still would not be saved. So your statement that only Christ can save you is flawed. Just as I can’t be saved without Christ, the opposite is true also, that Christ can’t save me without my willingness and participation. But you can’t even acknowledge the truth. You can’t handle the truth if it makes you look bad.

            1. willsblog

I don’t know what “research” you’ve done? No, I am not clairvoyant nor was I there so I don’t PERSONALLY know. I can know that you have made comments as if you are completely ignorant of scripture and have no idea what God requested of His followers. As I said, I’m not willing to waste my time nor energy on your inane comments and if you wish to believe that you can save yourself, I’m not going to argue with you. As I also told you, I will continue to put my ENTIRE faith and trust in Jesus, His sacrifice, His righteousness, His holiness and in His power as the scriptures say. You are free to dream up whatever you wish. I DID answer your question however, as you do with scripture, you have chosen NOT to acknowledge it. That is again YOUR problem rather than mine.

Who really gives a hoot about these people who constantly questions God’s will ?
These people will someday pass away and end up facing God.
God has given us a “free will” to make our own decisions in life. When things don’t work out they blame God instead of themselves.
Who will these people blame about this dude leading our country down the toilet for eight years ?
The same blockheads blaming God for putting President Trump into office.
    …God bless us all !!!

    December 14, 2016
    1. willsblog

You are absolutely correct! When they want to do something THEN they will claim that they were given free will by God. When it comes to facing judgement then they will claim that it’s God’s fault. Likewise, they will sit back and allow Obama to take our country down the toilet while blaming Republicans for what THEIR party did.

      December 15, 2016
      1. GovMisdirection

There’s sure a lot of talk about God giving us free will. Free will to do what? Accept him, or not? I don’t think God, even though he is a Republican, came up with that “human right??” to give us free will to be either a Republican of Socialist. He probably had something else in mind. Help me out, was that in the Bible?

        December 15, 2016
        1. willsblog

Free will IS in the Bible. Republican or Democrat is NOT. God gave us human rights and the Disciples even struggled with them. Paul talked about doing what he didn’t want to do versus doing what he wanted to do. Just as Adam and Eve had the right to choose whether to eat of the two trees that God forbid them to and suffer the consequences, we too have choices and free will. God doesn’t force anyone to live for Him, accept Him nor serve Him, it is all our choice. Along with the ability to choose we also have the ability to reap whatever consequences go with that choice. We can choose to live for eternity in heaven OR we can choose to suffer damnation and separation from God.

          1. GovMisdirection

Found it, the word “freewill” is in the KJV three times as ‘freewill offerings’. I was poking a little fun at the American’s love for their made up words like freewill, human rights, rights, anything that restricts them from doing anything without regard to consequences. As we know, there are no lawyers in Heaven, or at the pearly gates to argue the sinner’s case. I feel like a rat that is wound up and placed at the entrance of a maze (life) and God is looking down to see what path this rat takes. Take the wrong path, there is no cheese.

            1. willsblog

God never forces anyone to accept Him we therefore, have “free will” to accept or reject as we see fit. Whether or not the word(s) “free will” are in scripture really doesn’t matter. The word(s) “child porn” isn’t in scripture either but, I’m quite sure that it’s NOT biblical, right, sanctioned nor allowed. The word “internet” isn’t in scripture either yet I’m quite sure that we aren’t to use the Internet for evil either.

When this dude attacked the religious in every Christian faith our country became a disastrous state of mind. As you’ve seen in the media there were more shootings, bullying, child porno than ever before because our religious values were censored. These issues can be better addressed under the trump/Republican administration.
Don’t care if this bothers folks but we need God in our lives.

    December 15, 2016

You are the first person to have mentioned anyone being “banned”. If they were advocating violence, deception, bloodshed or murder they should be banned. There is enough violence that the Liberals have ignored, advocated, supported and encouraged.

Will, I’d like to comment on your Shadrach, Meschach & Abednego story. The way you have worded it, it came off to me as that second sentence saying that they were disobedient, when I know that’s not what you meant. Otherwise, love this entry.

How does one go about making a blog? Do you have to do that via Facebook? Don’t want to use them. Thanks.

    December 19, 2016
    1. willsblog

Shadrach, Meshach & Abednego were disobidient to man’s laws because they wouldn’t worship man’s idol per the King’s order. As far as how long does one go about making a blog, I usually just make them as the topics hit me. It may be a current event, it may be from Bible reading or it may be something from politics but there is no time frame for blogs posts. You can write them as you see fit using a word processor and then copy and paste them into the editor OR you can type them in directly whichever you prefer.

Where I live more folks are saying Marry Christmas now than before.
Since this dude is leaving power the only acceptable greeting was " Happy Holidays or Seasons Greetings and the cheaply stated “Sparkle” season.
Now we can say “Merry Christmas” and by religious postage stamps without being harassed.
There is a possibility our christian or religious values maybe returning and it feels great.
Merry Christmas to you and yours will…and to all who’s viewing this Voice !

    December 22, 2016
    1. willsblog

I have always said “Merry Christmas” regardless of what anyone advocated, pressed, harassed, inferred, demanded, criticized or ordered. Nothing the Liberals do will make me deviate from who I am, what I believe nor what I know to be true in scripture.
